Chapter 81: The Blessing

You have to rise up one day and say I know God has a crown of favor with my name on it, and I am going to go pick it up today.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) -The Quran is the principle source of every Muslim’s faith and practice, but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures and provides guidelines for a just society, proper human conduct and equitable economic principles. For next 100 days we are presenting some short articles on ethical issues that have been written based on the verses of Quran.

God almighty says in the Quran: “Remember My blessing which I bestowed upon you” (Quran; 2:40). The moment God said you were blessed, you became blessed. Now, you may not pick up that blessing for a year, five years or a lifetime, but that does not change what God said. The blessing still belongs to you. You have to rise up and say, “You know what? I am going to go get it. I am not going to live another day defeated. I know God has a crown of favor with my name on it, and I am going to go pick it up today. I am going to start acting like I am blessed, like I am redeemed, like I am the head and not the tail, like I am more than a conqueror.”

Sisters and brothers, as Quran says: “Ask God from His favor, God is knowledgeable over all things” (Quran; 4:32), so know that the blessing already has your name on it and there is no line to get it. There is no “Will Call”. There are no late charges and no shortage in heaven! It is all yours, totally paid for blessings, favor, confidence, forgiveness. Rise up in faith. It is your time. It is your season. Start acting on it and receive everything He has in store for you.

So do not be disappointed. God almighty says: “O My servants who transgressed against themselves, do not despair of God's mercy. For God forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, the Merciful”. (Quran; 39:53) Thank Him for His goodness and faithfulness to you. Be thankful to God for His hand of blessing upon your life. And choose to walk in His ways.
